It's only February, isn't it - surely not too late to count as the New Year! But half term already, half way through the school year, and only another seven months til the little one starts school, and life changes hugely once again. So before I forget them all, here are some of the things I've been up to - work's been here there and everywhere. Visual Dissonance X (the pink one in the middle, left), made it into the Royal West of England Academy's Annual Open Exhibition. I've also had pieces in the Royal Ulster Academy's annual exhibition at the Ulster Museum, the Black Swan Open, Frome and, more recently at the Walking the Land exhibition in Arlingham, and as a part of Truth and Reality in the John Street Gallery, Stroud. I was shortlisted for the Sunny Art Prize, and also the Bath Open Art Prize. Otherwise, I've been working on lots of dotty things, introducing some colour, and playing with the opacity to make them as eye-boggling as possible. Also, I'm doing a large commission, and a series of paintings inspired by our trip to Crete last Easter. Lots of bleak mountains and lush vegetation, nice contrasts.
